The Galleries of Modern London

The Museum of London Galleries of Modern London, which tell the story of London and its inhabitants from the Great Fire of London in 1666 to the present day, opened to the public on 28 May 2010, just 2 days before the  'Breaking into the Museum' workshop.

The themes of the films made by the young participants in relation to their chosen objects, range across race and class discrimination; classification and categorization; migration; Black and other political struggles like the late 20th century Brixton and Poll Tax riots; the Asian presence in London; women’s rights.
